I did this a few years ago for a contest they were running looking for furry-themed artwork to use in ads. I won with this submission, and gave them permission to use it however they wanted, the first time being (I believe) an ad in the first FA:U conbook.
Since CF started running ads on FA, I've gotten a number of people contacting me to make sure they were using the character with my permission. I'm posting this mostly to say yes, not only do they have my permission, I made it for them for specifically that purpose. So do NOT go harass them for art theft, ok? ;)
This is actually an edited version; the original version had Max's signature "censored" tubetop, and the smoke was coming from a cigarette she was holding in her hand. Both the cig & the text were removed per their request.

They tattoo the skin & hair follicles so the fur grows back a specific color. I mean, our own skin flakes and falls off, but the tattoo remains in place, so I figure in a furry universe they would have figured out how to dye the fur roots & cause the fur itself to change color.
