Bloonbot is based off of the Epibloon which lives in the upper cloud layers of Hemosa.
Epibloons are characterized by their round, balloon-like organ which keeps them afloat in the clouds. They are filter feeders and will use their hairy tentacles to catch floating plankton.
They also have 2 wings which helps them maneuver and their blanket-like oral arms can act like a sail when winds are favourable.
Epibloons became popular pets 100 years ago where they were taken from Hemosa and brought to other atmospheres for the enjoyment of people. They can only live up to 10 years like this before dying. compared to their biological immortality on Hemosa. Bloonbot was created to stop the now illegal pet trade of Hemosa's species.

Deeper in Hemosa's atmosphere, under the main cloud layer, you can find Bathybloons. These are a related species which gently drift through this calmer part of the planets atmosphere. They feed on the downward drift of Jovian Snow (dead animal matter in the skies of a gas giant). They grow much larger than their epipelagic counterparts.

Even deeper still, myths recall subaerials encountering the Devouring Darkness. This was known as a phenomena when the air is so thick that light can't penetrate it. In reality, these explorers had most likely been blanketed by the 20ft long Abyssobloon. Their skin is so dark that the only way you can see them in this zone is by being silhouetted against the lightning pierced skies of the Abyssal Zone. Their oral arms have grown so wide and long that it could easily cover an entire subaerial without the crew even knowing it is there.
