You don't need eyes to see your friends. Or your enemies.

I have found a Cool Effect that I have no practical use for.

1: fill background layer with a color close to black.
2: switch to black and create an empty layer above it.
3: run the GIMP's Line Nova filter under Rendering. Adjust settings as needed. I used 60px for this radius.
4: run a median blur filter on the layer. Adjust as needed. I upped the radius to 4px but kept everything the same.
5: duplicate layer and run a larger median blur on the new layer. Reduce the opacity of the layer under it. Repeat as needed, or not at all.
6: profit.
