An Unexpected Visit
Been a WHILE since I last did one of these. Time for you all to have another glimpse of the lore of my characters, this being how Miteru met Kajex.
The day was dark and stormy as Kajex walked home from work. His jacket hood was draped over his head as he held his head down to avoid getting his face soaked. He was currently on his way home after going to work to check on some things for the day and did NOT expect it to storm as bad as it was so soon.
“Next time I’m packing an umbrella no matter what the sky’s looking like,” he grumbled to himself as he felt the rain begin to soak through his coat.
After a few more minutes of slogging through the rain Kajex had finally gotten under some cover and heading towards his apartment door. He tossed off his hood, the drenched piece of cloth plopping against his back like a wet rag as he pulled out his keys from his coat pocket.
“I hope Kaja will be okay walking in the rain,” Kajex shivered as he unlocked his door, “This storm won’t be letting up by the end of her shift.”
He stepped into the living room and turned around to close the door. It was initially the same standard, slightly messy living room as it always was, but little did he know somebody very special would be there when he turned back around.
“So you’re that poor soul Atrimel treated like a mere tool,” a feminine, motherly voice echoed, “You poor thing. So hard just can’t even catch a break on a rainy day.”
“H-Hu-” Kajex stammered before he turned around.
What he saw was an arceus at least twice his height laying down on the couch. Her light green dress, golden accessories, and emerald green eyes were illuminating Kajex. He was speechless, heart racing, and sweating bullets as he took off his coat.
“A-A-A-Am I d-dreaming?” he stammered as his coat plopped onto the ground.
“Oh no you aren’t sweetie,” she calmly assured him as she sat up, “One of my avatars came before little old you in the flesh.”
“I-It’s a million honors!” Kajex exclaimed as his tail wagged behind him.
Kajex IMMEDIATELY got on his hands and knees, bowing before her, but she would grab him by his shirt collar and have him stand on his feet with a slightly dissatisfied look on her face. This baffled the lucario at first, thinking this was what she would want as the governor of his world.
“I should let you know I dislike bowing,” she said calmly, “Especially from special ones like you and your sister.”
“I-It’s just hard not to i-in the face of a literal goddess f-for the first time,” Kajex squeaked as he tried to keep a straight face.
“Then don’t view me like a goddess as well,” she said with a soft sigh, “Just think of me as mommy Miteru.”
So much was happening all at once. Kajex’s heart was palpitating out of his chest and his limbs felt like they were made of jelly. Miteru clearly saw his instinctive reactions to meeting her out of the blue for the first time and chose to help remedy this.
“Well now,” Miteru began calmly, “I think it’s time I tell you why I’m here in your little home.”
“I-I would love to hear this,” Kajex squeaked, tail swaying again, “B-Before I mentally i-implode.”
“Then take a seat,” she smiled as she patted the couch cushion beside her.
Kajex felt paralyzed with those words. He knew she meant no ill will towards him, but the very idea of sitting THAT close to a being as highly regarded as her just felt too surreal for him. Miteru could see it written all over his face.
“Come on sweetie,” she said with a soft smile as she yanked him over to her side, “I don’t bite my children.”
Kajex was plopped against her immensely soft thigh, heart THUMPING in his chest as she lightly scritched behind his ear. His tail thumped against the armrest of the couch as he tried to contain himself.
“I’m merely here to help make up for all that happened during your early childhood,” Miteru began as she pressed him against her body, “Been keeping an eye on you more than some of the royals for years now.”
“Y-You have been now?” Kajex stuttered as he glanced upward towards her.
“Of course,” she replied, “I’m very sorry you were dealt such a terrible hand before you were ever born. It was my own negligence of this little region that led to that.”
Kajex’s heart sank as the memories flooded back into his mind. Miteru would simply comfort him as she tried to help melt those pains away, once again flustering the lucario with her mere presence.
“But that is why you and your family will receive extra special treatment from me,” she smiled as she pulled him in a little closer, “With one of my avatars living with little old you now!”
“W-W-WAIT WHAT???!!!” Kajex exclaimed at the top of his lungs.
The look on his face was absolutely priceless, unable to stop making Miteru giggle as she watched his jaw hit her thigh. She would simply pick him up like a plushy as his tail wagged so fast it was almost invisible behind him.
“You heard that right,” she’d smile as she laid down on the couch again with Kajex on her stomach, “Not very often I leave an avatar dedicated to my little ones forever. You’re the first in thousands of years to catch my eye like this..”
Kajex was absolutely speechless. He couldn’t comprehend what was happening to him any more. He was offered a more personal relationship to the literal goddess of governor of his whole society and she was treating him like a personal plushy.
“I know it’ll take a little getting used to with such a sudden shake up in your life,” Miteru began as she hugged him so tight his face was buried into her cleavage, “But you all will get used to it in time.”
“Wh-What do you mean by y-you all?” Kajex stuttered in confusion, “I-It’d just be me and Kaja for now.”
Miteru was giggling all too playfully again, clearly keeping the fact that she’s all omnipotent a secret still from Kajex. She knew who was going to stroll up to that door at any second now.
“You’re one short,” she giggled as she heard the doorknob to the front door turn, “Watch and see what happens.”
Moments later, Kaja and Naomi both stepped through the door wearing drenched raincoats and clinging to some umbrellas and freshly baked pizzas. They tossed off their coats as they began to turn around and meet the same reaction Kajex had when he first walked in in mere moments.
“Hey bro sorry I’m late,” Kaja began without a care in the world.
“We just so happened to bump into each other when she got off work and-” Naomi began before she was cut off.
Both girls’ jaws hit the FLOOR as Kajex awkwardly turned towards them while laying on Miteru’s chest. The arceus herself was just smiling and waving as kajex’s heart began to beat even faster than his tail wagging earlier.
“Well you two are just in time to hear just what I was telling little Kajex here,” Miteru giggled as everyone stood there in utter disbelief…
