Wolfy is one of my oldest OCs/fursonas. I recently redesigned/rewrote him with  EldritchAndroid (Crow), who drew him and also made a Sonic OC of their own named Thrash that they share lore with! I love them both so much. Wolfy was what I originally named him as a kid before I redesigned him. I didn't wanna discard it because of the nostalgia, but he also needed a better name, so I made it his nickname instead.

Wolfy is an extinct direwolf who was born during a vague medievalish era during Mobius's history, and was recently revived from fossilization by Tails, who coined his nickname "Wolfy" as the name of the project before managing to revive him. Because of this, Wolfy feels he owes tails a life debt, and has vowed to serve and defend the "young lord" with his life. He speaks in Old English/Shakespearian English. In the Sonic universe Crow and I made, direwolves used to be confused for werehogs/weremobians because of their large size and thicker coats (which Wolfy had trimmed down to make it easier for him to serve the land as a knight). It's implied that direwolves might've even been the source of the weremobian myth in this universe, although Crow and I haven't decided if they actually exist or not here. I added this feature to his species as a callback to one of my first and favorite Sonic games, Sonic Unleashed.
