Kitties In Space Portfolio Cover v2 - old art
Early digital art ...
From the late 80's to late '90's and a few years in early '00's furry art was available in comics and in print portfolios - then everything went online.
So back around then i was thinking of putting together some print portfolios and designing possible covers for their folders, such as the 'Skunks' Portfolio :

For this cover i took the image of KIS 2 and applied some digi-psychadelic stuff. KIS 2 art :

With v2 here i brought in a couple more filters. Back then i was trying to see if digital art could be something akin to the use of synthesizers in music; not trying to make the synth sound like an acoustic instrument, but rather playing up it's electric effects.
The pencil for KIS2 was from '03 (?) ; digi colour art finished around Dec '04 ; letters and fx May '05.
... and i added the frame/border a few days ago cuz presentation value matters.

i was a kid back in the original black-light poster era - and my room was a-glow in black-light posters - and i had fluorescent paints and markers and bell-bottoms and i used to make my own psychedelic poster art ... even made some anthro black-light art in the late '70s : https://www.furaffinity.net/view/5856338/
