Jacklynn, Wayfinding Witchcat [Ref]
"Listen, you know that famous quote or whatever that goes 'magic is just science we don't understand yet?' Ya, that's pretty much spot on. As much as I'd like to call what I do 'space magic' or 'eldritch powers', it's way more mundane than that. It's just manipulation of the psychical and mathematical equations that define existence. A plus B equals C kinda stuff. I just alter variables, change denominators, fuck with percentiles. Hell, even I don't fully understand how it all works yet, but just trust me. It's not magic. It's cosmic alteration at 476 Megahertz. Huh? What does that mean? Iunno, it just works that way."

Caruthian Witchcats are well known for their forays into lost, strange, or even unknown branches of magic, but perhaps no one has ever delved as deep, or gotten as 'lost' in their search, as Jacklynn. Even he isn't sure when exactly when he fell between the very fabric of material reality, or how long he'd been there. In fact, it often seems like he doesn't know much of anything. He finds it difficult to explain where he went, what he learned, or even how the powers and abilities he's uncovered work. Equations etched into a strange material, cut into domino-sized pieces resting on a simple steel-braid necklace, act as his catalyst, allowing him to walk between dimensions, travel across time and space, and alter the very fabric of reality. Small-scale matter reconstruction, gravity manipulation, space-phasing, portal creation are just a tiny fraction of the more describable feats he is currently capable of.
Of course, being lost in time and space for a considerable period of time has had an... effect on the witchcats personality. Being alone for such a long time has left him, for lack of a better word, quirky and a tiny bit unhinged. He's fairly poor at social interaction but when he does make a connection, he has a habit of being clingy, sometimes almost possessive. He had a distinct habit of talking to himself, being overly brash, and making bold decisions without much forethought. At the very least, he does have his familiar Caru, though the strange raven seems a lot more independent and powerful than a normal familiar would be. Then again, little about Jacklynn is ever as it seems.
The witchcat would jump from world to world, dimension to dimensions, wandering planular space aimlessly until happening upon the particularly strange and curious land of Black County, which seemed to screw with his powers in a way he'd never experienced before. While trying to figure out what was going on, he'd bump into a human named Simon, and the two would form a quick friendship. Fairly soon Jacklynn would discover that Simon had a similar style of power to him, but without the Catalyst Equations he needed for his to work, and it would be the human who coined the term "Wayfinder" that they both began using to describe what exactly they even were.
Only time will tell what this newfound partnership will turn into, and what secrets and answers the two will be able to reveal. But at the very least, it seems Jack has finally found himself a permenant companion.~

Another witchcat added to the pile! A particularly unique one at that. You won't see him in the fantast setting the rest reside in, but in all manner of places. You never know where ;3

Jacklynn belongs to meee~
Fact of the Day: The necklace Jacklynn uses is inspired by Death Stranding's Q-PID. The equations written on them are, in his own words, the three fundamental laws of the universe, the very numbers and letters that explain how it was formed and what lies ahead for all of existence. Though, of course, he won't say who made it, how he got it, or where it even came from.~
