I've been sorting my old comics all night in preparation to repost them and it's so interesting to see where I was back in 2008 compared to where I got in just a few years and where I am now.

It was a blast redrawing this page and the one before just for Cynder's expressions and body language. In the remake I've made a pretty conscious effort to make Ember's dialogue and personality more clear. I also wrote out a trope that, 15 years later, just doesn't need to exist in fiction anymore: yes, girls like other girls. Although at the time I was making this comic I wasn't quite to the point of being able to even take the first step on what became quite the journey of discovery for me haha.

I really like just how much these two use their wings to express themselves. Moar dragons making expressive wing and tail gestures pls!
