These gouache postcards are part of a large series where I will be aiming to paint 100 landscapes. These were painted in 2022.
Postcard 13 Golden Fleece - I kept this painting loose and illustrative as I did a live demonstration at a local art market. The day was very humid so drying time between layers was longer than expected resulting in a loss of texture in the clouds however the experience was great.
Postcard 14 Teal Reflections - A recent hiking trip to Springbrook National Park resulted in finding some amazing inspiration and vistas. This was just one of the scenes we found, the water was an unreal teal colour I knew I had to paint it.
Postcard 18 River Of Mist - This postcard was one of my favourites I painted while house/dog sitting for a friend. I really enjoy how overwhelming the fog appears on the valley below.
Postcard 19 Crop Fields - This painting was done while staying in Gatton, QLD and housesitting for my in-laws. The fields around this area are so lush from the rains.
