Dehydrated water was actually a thing in the first Space Quest game - Hydrogen that on contact with the atmosphere would instantly convert to water. The player needed it to avoid dehydration in the desert, and it was one of two ways to complete the Orat quest.

Vegitarians don't bother me. Vegans who are militantly proselytizing annoy the fuck out of me. Vegans who get in my face when I continue to eat meat are hateful. I also have no respect for a vegan who insists we get a fast food burger, eat it, then feel all guilty and get in my face even more about me eating meat.

This is priceless! I've had a few run-ins with self-righteous vegans... And boy do they have an attitude about other's that doesn't follow their propaganda or is that their religion and belief structure?

You can only ask them to leave you in peace so many ways...

I had a run in with some at the UNT campus in the early 1990s. One student group was having a burger cookout as a fund raiser. The militant anti meat bunch was harassing those of us trying to enjoy a burger. One gal got in my face and pretty much screamed "No meat will ever touch my lips!" Me, after chewing and swallowing a bite of my burger - "Well I guess that rules out asking you for a Blow Job." Boy did the shrieking start then. I ignored them and grinned at some other stunned students and walked off eating the rest of the burger.

hehe told vegan once in i support vegan if something ever happens to meat animals guest who are next on the chopping block you eat the same stuff and i am not going without rib's or steak they looked horrified and walked away so guest i won too

I've asked them if they are free range and gluten free Actually on a gluten free diet irl - medical reason. I check out restaurants to see if they serve something I can eat - no making demands of the chef.

Some years ago they were trouting that being vegan is healthier well yes and no. They may be less acceptable to certain cancers but they are highly susceptible to others because they're not getting the animal protein that the body needs to fight off those particular cancers. One of them is skin cancer and I forget the other two that they were more prone to by about three times I think it was.

I remember the 'discussion' I had with one of the militant Veginazis at Whole Paycheck. I told her as long as the market put it in the cooler I was going to buy it and eat it. When she told me how sick that made her I said, "Making you uncomfortable is a win for me!"

were I work we get a vegan favorite line they ask "is that all the vegan section you have i tell yes and their ask why i tell them simply no one buys your vegan crap love it when they demand to see the manager i grin I'm the manager they don't like it go else were!

Okay, so that's a plate and an empty glass... If they complain, just say that it's what they ordered. A diet water, etcetera... Also with everything being "organic", the bill will add an extra $15 dollars. $10 extra for "soy-based", $30 for faux eggs...

I've seen the opposite. A customer walked into a vegetarian restaurant (it actually says "vegetarian" in large letters on the storefront) looked through the menu and loudly complained "There's NO MEAT here!!"

Some people have to make their diet a crusade.

I don't dislike vegans that I don’t know about. Those are kind of rare.

Diet water has only one hydrogen atom per molecule I've been told. My water plant can't make it. We do have deionized water in limited quantities.

A bit of humor/fiction on my part. The "diet water" is based on a skit from the nationally-syndicated Bob & Tom Show. Deionized water lacks any minerals normally found in tap water. So great for batteries and chemical solutions.

I was referring to the one hydrogen per molecule water... now I wonder if that is even possible. sounds very esoteric in afterthought. XD

curiously enough here in germany they say distilled water when it is actually deionized. the differences are rather technical, I think, if I'm not mistaken deionized isn't 100% free of minerals. yet the ads talk of distilled water...

for a while you could grab distilled water at the power plant downtown for free. until someone found a buyer for real distilled water so that source dissolved... now they sell it. :P

"Vegan" is actually a word out of one or another native american language and translates to "too dumb to hunt".

my problem isn't with vegans usually, more with industry selling them vegan schnitzel, sausage, gulasch, cheese, and so on; all heavily processed plant matter that has nothing to do with the original matter anymore; thus it doesn't matter.
and a friend has a problem with vegans who insist on keeping meat-eating pets like dog, cat, or ferret, and insist on feeding them vegan, too. ignoring the fact that it never works. "Got new ferrets yesterday. they grow only to be nine months old, anyway; wished they'd live a bit longer." with lines like these before her you better not get in her way... XD

diet water? carbon-free, low-fat water? sell it to those who refuse to use common sense as well as what they've learned in school... sell it as expensive as you can. they deserve it not any different.

also, great scene. :) poor chef, why don't they just order a mixed salad without meat in it? easy to do. but no, they have to add buzzwords they don't even know what they mean... I'd throw that knive, too. until it hits home!

Yeah, that table request is liable to get Vrghr's hackles up. Not sure whether wuff would take this as an ultimate challenge, or just 'eject with extreme prejudice' the whole group out the front door while pointing at the "We reserve the right to refuse service..." placard. *grin* Pretty sure that the "diet water" would end up being empty glasses. Can't get much lower calorie than that!
