I've told myself for three years that I'd go to FC and finally this year, with a little push from
laurenrivers I did it. Here I am with her Siamese cat Topaz and her mate
shrag at the convention. Next year I will be suiting too. They can't hog all the fun!!!

So that's what you look like! Brave bunny. I've never had the nerve to post any photos of myself on-line. Aw, but I'm glad you finally got to go and have some fun at a Con. I've all but given up on the idea, myself. I nearly made it to one in 2003, I think it was, but I've never come close to having the chance since then. I'd love to, but ah well. Nobody would ever recognize me if I did, though.
I've never been really keen on showing my current pix either. I had so much fun at this con though that I wanted to brag a little with a pic. You really should go to one! I could never have guessed I'd have such a great time!!! I bet you would too.
It's funny when you say nobody would recognize you. If you never post pix of yourself, no one would have any idea what to expect except in very general terms. Nobody looks like you'd expect them to. Even though I had a fair idea of Laurens specs and knocked on her door, when she walked up and hugged me I asked who she was because she looked nothing like my mental image of her.

Oh, I'd love to go to a Con someday. I don't know if I'd ever make to any of the ones out west, but I could easily get to the one they have in Memphis, or I think they still have one in Chicago. I've always wanted to see more of Chicago than just the airport anyway. I just missed being born there.
As for being recognized, I wouldn't expect to recognize me by what I looked like. I've never posted any photos on-line, so that wouldn't be a fair thing to expect. What I was thinking of was that on-line I tend to be fairly outgoing, and a bit of a shameless flirt. In real life, I'm as shy as I can be around people I don't know, and I probably wouldn't have the nerve to flirt with anyone I didn't know extremely well. Granted, I might be a bit more open at a furry con, once I'd found my bearings. But you still probably wouldn't know it was me from the way I acted.

MidwestFurFest is in Chicago I believe. In November if I was told correctly. Their site isn't up for this year yet though.
You must be a lot like me then. I'm pretty shy in real life except with friends. Not at all the way you see me here. Though once I feel comfortable with someone I loosen up a great deal. The con is a whole other world though, and once I felt comfortable there (which didn't take long at all given how wonderfully friendly everybody is) I was able to talk to people I didn't know fairly easily. Of course at a con you'd be wearing a badge with your name on it and maybe a picture of Niamh, so you'd be easier to recognize than you think.

There isn't anything sexy about paws and hooves. I'm talking about the sexy stuff....
You know I went because of you. You had to have SOMEBODY there to take your picture and get the hair out of your eyes. I think I made a pretty good handler too, for a noob.
(noodles......must have noodles!!!!)
