So I'm an idiot and said "sure, I love hiking!" when someone I was working with asked me if I wanted to go for a hike during a trip last year. I said that knowing I only brought slacks and button ups with me, then that weekend I found myself about 7km into a jungle, cold, wet, and dressed like I was about to go to a job interview.
It was drizzling for some time but soon started to really downpour. Luckily we came across some kind of shelter along the way that I was told was popular during festivals; It still had a few decorations posted around, some banners rolled up and stored off to the side, and speakers that I'm sure played plenty of fun music over their lives. In the front half were a bunch of spare tables and chairs where plenty of other hikers had settled to wait out the rain and in the back corner, a small kitchen with some dishes that were free to use and a sink with running water for afterwards. A few minutes after finding a couple chairs, an older man walked over to me and offered a mug of coffee. I wasn't sure exactly why, but after he insisted a second time, I accepted it. I forgot for a moment I probably looked like the most lost person under that single roof and took a sip of warm instant coffee.
The only picture I saved from that moment was one of my hand holding a white, sports-themed Donald Duck coffee mug looking out over that hillside with some sunlight poking through the rain clouds. It was nice
I tried to rebuild what I could of that moment from my memories and while it's not exactly the same, I think the mood is just about perfect thanks to

Also here's a video of a bug, a very big bug, as in don't click this link unless you want to see an 18-20cm (7-8in) long centipede I found crawling along the side of the trail

It was 'aight, but a really nice way to keep me warm while I was sitting around soaking wet. At the end of the hike there was a little touristy area that had food and I tried some kind of fruit drink that was sour but thick and creamy. Can not remember the name of the fruit to save my life right now
