Thank you, RebelTaxi, for introducing me to an 80s cartoon that I would wind up doing art for.
Anyway, I have a bit of interest on lost media, especially lost cartoons & video games. For this picture, I drew Burt Worm, the protagonist of the Mirthworms series of animated specials. Despite being well-animated, having a colorful cast of characters, & some pretty good songs, it’s rather obscure. There were even plans for Perennial Pictures (the company behind the Mirthworms series) to work with Ruby-Spears in order to create a show for it, but that never happened. If a Mirthworms show was created, maybe it would’ve become a cult classic like The Raccoons or SilverHawks. But, alas, we only have three Mirthworms specials, which I recommend to you. Enjoy!
