I tried to fight it... I REALLY did. Really though, I was fighting it to not seem like Johnny Come Lately, rather than getting on the bandwagon itself.
And the kicker: I've never seen a full episode to completion. Even worse: there's at least one more picture idea in the wood works. :V

Oh lord, a Jersey Shore version would probably kill my interest out right. Although that wouldn't be too fair, 'cause I've never seen a single episode of JS to completion either. :V I hear that 4Chan has partially to do with its popularity, but the fact that the show aired with the launch of a brand new channel helps too.
Nah, my ship already sailed when I chose to draw cute cartoon characters almost for a living now. I was more hesitant to get in on this because I didn't want people thinking I was joining in simply because its popular.

I've also avoided defecting for the fact that I don't want people thinking I jumped onto the the bandwagon. I too have never seen the new episode of My Little Pony, but people tell me it "cool", which of course has me raising an eyebrow to people my age or sometimes older, having watching a show clearly for kids and "liking it".
Well like everything else, there's that intended demographic, THEN there's people outside that demographic. Same with folks liking Pokemon, Digimon, and any other franchise specifically meant for little kids or a specific gender. Of course some things can be backed up by nostalgia value and whatnot.
