Was bored at work a few days ago, me and a coworker made this. It was our take on a toad in a hole. a whole egg inside a spring roll wrapper, deep fried, with a little mixed bell peppers, basil, salt and pepper.
Take 2 spring roll wrappers
lay bell peppers and basil in center of wrapper, gently crack one whole egg ontop. Carefully roll and seal the wrapper with a little eggwash, then rewrap with the second wrapper. Deep frie at 350 for about 3 minutes, until wrapper is golden brown (Egg will be over easy, cook longer if you dont like runny yolk.)
The hardest part is sealing the first wrapper.
makes a beautiful presentation.

Scared me just a bit, thought one of my old coworkers was a closet fur, wouldve amazed me. 'duly noted' came from a previous coworker that everyone hated, but he was quotable to a fault. When ever you told him he was doing something wrong, he would glaze over and respond 'duly noted, playboy.' 'Twice on sundays' and '10 years experience playboy *awkward gesture*
That sounds horrible, but in a fascinating way. We had one of those where I worked. Every time we'd need something he'd pull out a random tool from his leatherman or fanny pack. He had an entire survival kit in there with random things like thermometers, a home pregnancy test... He enjoyed always having what someone randomly needed and each time he'd produce something, he'd always say "Never leave home without it!"
We used to start asking for things he didn't have just to see if he'd start carrying them. We successfully got him to add a thimble, a watch battery, and a heavy duty paperclip to his kit. He still keeps them in there years down the line. X3
