Meet Sunny, my new male amber corn snake. I literally just brought him home today - and this picture was taken in the car while I was driving. (My friend took the picture).
So far Sunny has turned out to be quite the little beauty! He is extremely handsome and very easy to handle. I managed to drive a good 30 minutes from Loxley, AL (where I met his original owner) to Pensacola, FL with him just relaxing on my hand. He is not at all shy from being handled and it looks like he enjoys it!
So, I brought him home and set up his terrarium, and gave him a few hours to settle in. I just fed him a little while ago and he didn't even try to reject it.

I also rescued a hatchling today! I was trying to sell my PS2 and some things to go with it so I could get a pair of gecko's. In my ad I said I would trade for reptiles. Not even a few minutes later someone responded saying they had a baby corn snake they'd like to rehome.
They sent me a text picture of what it was and it turned out to be just a normal red corn snake. I let the guy know that breeders usually sell those kind for about $15-20, and I had found other corn snakes for under $15. (Petstores are rip offs, I swear..)...
Well, we ended up not trading the ps2, but he did let me buy the snake (and its little five gallon tank) for $14.00.
This guy apparently took the hatchling after his friend got deployed. He has had it for a month and he refused to try to feed it mice. Instead he was trying to feed him/her crickets, mealworms, and stuff.
He told me he'd rather I take it than it end up dead in his care..and if it did die while I had it, he would pay me back. So, I took the hatchling home and offered it food.
He/she took a frozen pink with no problems!
So yeah..I got two new snakes today...Sunny, the amber, and the little hatchling who has no name yet. (I don't know her genetics but it does look like she might have motley genes somewhere..)

Hehe! Well, you have plenty of time to do so! And I'll have a variety for you to choose from.
I'm expecting to have:
Gray rat snakes
Amel corn snakes
Ultramel Corn snakes
Normal corn snakes
Frosted Corn snakes (anery x gray rat snake hybrid)
Ball Pythons
And with the slight chance my snow will be ready to breed, I'll also have caramel motleys.
And who knows, I might find something else in between!

I forgot to mention my website, which will have more information regarding sales and such. : http://jhsnakes.webs.com
I will probably do so in a few days..both of them did eat for me a little while ago and I don't want to risk them regurgitating. But, you can check out my other babies here, if you'd like! --> http://jhsnakes.webs.com ..I have lots of pictures in the photo gallery. =)
