Erm....what purpose do layers serve, exactly? I use Corel, and you can do layers on that, but I don't know exactly what they do other than help with putting something on scenery. 0.0

Well, when you've got a lineart, then you can put things under it by using different layers, and put something under that layer, etc etc so that no color or item messes up another, and the way I shade, I'll just lock the transperancy of a layer and color all over my pic. It's really essential to the way I normally color. I know most people work on only 1-5 layers but unfortunately I get so fucking anal I have to make 40. Damn myself! XD
