Well, again, this was a weird one. I was playing a PC game when I started hearing an irritating buzz from the vicinity of my tower. I immediately panicked, because, as any pc tech can tell you, strange buzzing from your case is the end of your power supply unit or at least a blown fan. It's money out of pocket and that always sucks.
I stand up and bend over my tower, trying to see what's wrong when I get a poke in my arm. It was like something stung me. Looking down, I saw what appeared to be a fairly good-sized beetle. I yanked my hand back and this little monkey jumped out, ready for battle. He started screaming something about, "heathen prison keepers," and, "profaning my people," or some such.
I got him to calm down after getting him a little brown sugar to snack on. For some reason, fairies seem to love the stuff. Anyway, once he was calm, I got the story out of him. He heard that some monstrous creature was imprisoning his people and he came to investigate and set them free.
I told him I hadn't seen anyone capturing fairies but offered him a place to spy on the area to look for the alleged captor. He heartily agreed and hopped in my bottle to wait for the monster to show up so he could slay him or at least give him a good telling off.
I'm still not sure if that beetle is a helmet or part of his head.

©2011, me. Made of sculpey, crafting feathers, fabric remnants, my patented (not really a patent, more of a loose agreement with people not to steal them) fairy wings and a straight pin bent beyond all reason. The beetle is based on the five horned rhinoceros beetle and was immense fun to make.

You oughta try doing a 3D piccy of these, kinda like these pics. (The ones with the rainbow-stripe candy are particularly cool.) ^_^
