A bonus Valentine's page! It also works standalone as I quite like the art.
Author Note: As a past art student, I've always been curious about the consensus on using nudity to depict vulnerability. My perspective on this concept in storytelling has changed after trying it. (Even if it's soft nudity that doesn't show anything.) I find the physical similarity between this character and her mother, as depicted in these pages, to be both comforting and torturous for her. Her own body acting as a reminder of vulnerability and loss through something inseparable, I find that fascinating. The execution here could be improved, but my opinion on these pages has changed. Moving forward, if I decide to use the body in my comic, my focus will be on serving the story above all else. It's also interesting to note why I initially found these pages unsatisfying until I realized the reason for my discomfort.
