Their love story started so long ago. He is a prince from an ancient civilization, the precursor empire. He was exiled and took home in Infernalis, reigning over it and learning its truths. The star survives by absorbing the souls of the living and therefore surviving the rest of the universe, it is the truth of everything. He was able to hear prayers of those desperate enough, any species at any time.
A man who fell in love with a Greek queen in ancient Greece was so in love he'd do anything to marry her. Crimson showed himself to the man and gave him what he asked for, but he'd come to collect in the end. The man married the queen, becoming the king, they both lived happily they had one princess together and lived a long time. After all the experience, Crimson came to claim his life, the man was way too accepting of death, so he turned his attention to the princess. Crimson took their daughter away, whisking her away to Infernalis. She refused to love him in any way, and Crimson wasn't a guy who would take a woman in that manner without her consent or love.
She earned his love from her fierce personality, she rebelled against him and didn't want to be there. He genuinely wanted to show her care. Over time she started opening up as he changed many things for her, he gave her a garden in her own palace, even giving her presents and showing her his soft side regardless of his darker personality. She genuinely fell in love, after she was allowed to see past is disguise. He showed her the full draconic furry that is himself and she agreed to marry him. She became his balance in all things, he is despair, she is hope, he is hate, she is love etc. And through this love story, the term in Cosmic Drive called Starmates is used for a married couple under their religion ether opposite sex or same sex.
