Spoiler Alert: It's not ghosts.
While I didn't exactly plan for it, I probably should create a page to help explain what Natures are within the comic's universe. This might mean that I won't post next week, it might not. We'll see.
Now for this page... I really suck at outdoor backgrounds. For starters, I always need a reference to sample off of and all I really wind up doing is tracing and recoloring what's already there. Even so, I worked hard on this bottom panel. I'm certain most of you wont be able to tell what textures are mine and which ones are real... Like 60:40% sure...
Oh as for the name of the company they work for "7 Shichi Mera". It's a major pun that I am certain none of you will understand. Mostly because it's based off an old pennamed that I used when I was much younger. In it's current form it roughly translates to "Seven Precious Embers" (VERY rough. As technically "meramera" is an onomatopoeia for a crackling flame and "shichi" isn't really translatable.)

Roger's got one. Mind you, if I had ultimately decided to not include Natures/Powers in this comic (certain exception of supernatural bruhaha acknowledged) the next *PLANNED* page wouldn't change all that much. As his ability is rather simple, mundane and only really serves to enhance his already natural charisma.
It's called "Howdy Neighbor."... Well, I was going to call it "Hello Neighbor" or "Be My Neighbor", but the second one is too long and the first one is too similar to a certain video game franchise so the finer details of how it works might be misunderstood.
And all it does is...allow Roger to know (via sight) people's names, including nicknames and titles. He can also tell which ones are more meaningful, which can also play a role in determining how long they used said names.
Mind you, if I didn't include NaturesAlex would simply be jealous of how much more social Roger is compared to himself.

Well, I was thinking that he's make for a good security guard, seeing you are who you say you are while checking your license.
Ooof, that's not as mundane as you may think. Too much of anything can kill you and Caffeine is a big one. It seriously can destroy your body if you're not careful. (Saw a Mattpat video about Panera's "powered lemonade". It's kind of scary.)

Well. I was also reminded of a case where somebody nearby died in a caffeine study because somebody shifted the decimal in their dose by a couple places. I find I have to regulate my intake. No passing up a chance to make their stuff addictive I guess.
I had a similar problem when it came to canned soda. I (Rusty) can absorb sugar like water to a sponge, but I was drinking so many cans of cheep soda (and lemonaid) that my blood had aluminum instead of iron. (Seriously, though, my poor kidneys...) Had to go cold turkey for half a year before I felt safe enough to touch any sodas. Even then limited to one a day for a while yet.
Also in case it's not obvious. The name of the character... and the name of the ability.... are a pure coincidence, but I love it too much to care. (In case you didn't realize it yourself yet.)
I swear, I didn't even realize the possible connection until about an hour after I decided on the name of the ability. (Roger was named years ago.)
