Night Walk
I've been kind of obsessing over drawing lanterns lately... They give me an opportunity to practice alternate light sources. This was my first attempt... I don't think I made the shadows deep enough. Oh well, next time!

If you're trying to make the lantern stand out, then having a black background would force the focus there. Lots of work, but it's effective. http://us.123rf.com/400wm/400/400/m.....background.jpg
