McKenna is one of Fraise's ballet partners. And since McKenna's first anime was Princess Tutu, she fell in love with Ahiru's leotard. And while it wasn't really necessary, she loved the jewel that Ahiru wears.

Fraise suggested dance shorts if McKenna wanted something more, but McKenna wears shorts almost every day. So while they were at the dance shop, McKenna decided she wanted a skirt, and it worked out better than she would've thought.
