Beware the gaze of the Garasuu~ōkā, their sight hidden by violet sheen. To see their eyes beyond the lens is to know the stare of inevitable death. To see them at all is to know a murder has occured, for they are bloody retribution.
The Garasuu~ōkā is born when a cat witnesses a murder through a window. The cat becomes their vessel, a mist formed from the victim's blood infusing with the cat and allowing transformation. They than hunt the murderer, weilding the blades of a samurai framed for murder in ancient times.
The murder is hunted slowly, the scent of their victim's blood being the first sign of being stalked. They see bloody mist come from alleys and darkened doorways, instilling fear. They will not be able to sleep, for the eyes of the Garasuu~ōkā haunt their dreams.
The murderer is killed at the moment they give up hope, for they do not deserve an honorable death. The Garasuu~ōkā pressed behind them, forcing them to their knees with discordant whispers. They then commit a joint sepuku, sinking the katana through the murderer and into themselves.
When both die, the cat that was the vessel of Garasuu~ōkā lives. It goes to the victim's closest loved one, to give them comfort and heal their grief. The cat will be honored with an impossibly long life, dieing when the last member of the victim's family line finally passes.
So goes the tale of the Garasuu~ōkā, the Glass-walker.
A little piece this beautiful work, depicting a beautiful person. If this is wrong or offensive in any way. Please take it down. I'm just easily inspired by art, and wanted to share.
