That's so bad since I was hoping we may have a few scenes with Nigal calling them out for what they did to him.

I hope that later on both Nigal and Toby can meet properly and fix what happened to them.

i don't really understand why so many people love Nigel, yeah he has a shitty past, but it's not an excuse for litteraly shit at everyone.

I can't speak for everyone, but for myself as both a writer and an enjoyer of dramatic writing and a fan of Viktria's stuff:
It's cause I trust that his first impressions are part of his overall character growth. If Vikria loves him so much then he would have had a LOT of character consideration and plot developments over the years she's mulled over his story. There is things there to love and see him overcome, but most of us who only see what is posted to FA only see this absolute asshat of a rhinobunny still at stage 0 of his personal development.
It seems implied that he will have his moment where he finally learns for himself what it means to want to be a guardian and serve and protect the realm sincerely to do that, and not for the sake of being a guardian.
They're all kinda jerks anyway at the moment and a need a good smacking around with some humility (Cept for Tristan who has plenty, though may do to learn courage and the ability to stand up for himself and others)

Point is, I trust that there's a reason Viktria loves that guy so much, and look forward to finding out why :3

For myself its because it's quite an interesting backstory and characterization. He's essentially a character that boils down to the fact that because of his upbringing he has essentially come to the point where his mindset has been twisted. Still desiring love and affection through becoming better but his inability to see past the issues of his family has basically brought that the only thing that'll come of it is by becoming either a guardian or some sort of higher figure that'll gain the feeling he thinks will fix his feelings. As a result it's so twisted by the lens of hatred, self loathing, and bitterness that he cannot get over because of that defining moment.

I like him as a result.

For myself, Tristan is my favorite. Throughout the years and suffering, he's still a sweetheart. Also Chili.

Well now we know Toby's thoughts and feelings towards Nigel, and other important bits of information.

1. Toby doesn't hate Nigel and still very much cares about him, but it seems Nigel wants nothing to do with him, I'm assuming cause of a mix of envy, jealousy and contempt.

2. Nigel's parents really did just straight up, pretend like he didn't even exist, and went out of their to deny his existence. Luna really screwed the pooch by just leaving Nigel to his own devices and not taking direct action against this.

3. Nigel's parents are confirmed dead, and they died leaving Nigel in the mental mess that he's in, and without reconciling with him. So even though their dead, the damage has already been done.

4. Guess this means Toby is the only living family member of Nigel's.

5. While Nigel is a victim, it doesn't excuse how he acts, nor does it entitle him to what he deserves more than others.

Think on 3, Nigel might not know they're dead, or he doesn't care for to what they did to him.

Ye 5. even life is shit does not give you right to trow all vitrial you have to others.
And blame others of your miss actions as claiming to be better wile acting self centered prick.

I'm curious to find out how Nigel reacts if he finds out, maybe one day if he gets unintentionally cornered by Toby, when he hears his parents died by the Chaos.
Surely with some sort of joy or relief on the surface, but how would it feel on the inside? Snarky remarks for sure, that's just bitter Nigel.

The Tree of Life is my favorite character. She reminds me of the Lotus from Warframe.

First answer: As sad as it's what happened to Toby after Nigel left, I must say that it's still a good thing that he grew up well, as well as the fact that he still loves his older brother.

Second answer: Considering how Nigel is, I can see why he's her favorite.

Nice to know what Toby thinks a little about the situation that befell on Nigel, but I would've preferred this to be said or shown in the comic than a random Patreon Q&A post. Let's be honest. Not everyone is going to come to every individual postings of character info dumps and Q&A sessions like this just to get the chance of having extra information after the fact when an ongoing story is currently still happening.
