This is pretty rough! I was using some new tools in Photoshop that are going to take some serious getting used to, but they're fantastic with experimenting with brushstrokes. Utilizing photo reference like the one here is going to be essential while I work on getting a better feel for how to paint those fur textures in a way that doesn't lose structure (the underlying skull on this one got pretty goopy). I think painting directly with color on this one instead of grayscales may have been a mistake here, but those are bound to happen in these practice rounds. :P
