Langsat was an Irish Elk military chaplain and medic who attended an Antarctic expedition that uncovered the Archon of Flesh's chamber. Invariably, he received the creature's blessing, and became an immortal regenerator - with the capacity to share a lesser version of the blessing.
His country later required him to do so for a global conflict they initiated, essentially creating an undying army. Realizing the ramifications of this, he dismantled it and defected. Branded a traitor by his nation and a war criminal by others - even almost a century later he is despised by all. And yet, he must persist, as he is the contingency plan for life in the face of a global extinction event.
