Did you go through training for the sword, or did you just practice yourself?

I personally like bows... but swords are cool too!

I've taken a myriad of classical fencing classes on my own over the last 6 years. So my weapon of choice would be a rapier if it really came down to combat. I know enough kendo (self taught, which is alright I guess) to wield that particular sword well enough. As for bows I only know the basics and have had very little practice. You an archer?

More or less. Im in love with bows and arrows, unfortunatly, the only bows in my house are 2 childrens compound bows, a very nice compund bow that belongs to my younger brother, and a 5 foot longbow thats hanging near the stairs to my room. The problem with that is, it broke near the grip, and is currently held together with tape. I really wanna buy either a hornbow or a recurve, but I dont have enough money. I was also going to get 1-2 dozen arrows once I got the bow.

When it comes to swords, I would probably use a claymore or zweihander, because they require alot less skill then, say, a rapier or broadsword, but can still deal a good amount of damage, if your strong enough.

Oh and I thought all us weapon's freaks had died out.

Nah, theres alot of em left, but most have just changed to the future, I.E. guns and such. I hate guns. Except the Plasma Caster gun I created for a sci-fi story Im plotting out...

Turns out my dad has a Recurve bow(25PPD, so I guess its not that bad. Made for targets, though, not hunting. Hard to kill sumtin with only 25 PPD.) and hes gunna give that to me, so Im gunna save up and buy either a celtic sword and shield or a claymore soon. Though the whole issue with that is money... I sorta went psycho and bought every Pokemon handheld game in the store... and now I gotz no money... lol...

It's a pretty solid blade, needs sharpening to be effective, but I'm rather good at my self taught Iaijutsu, and kendo.
