What's this, a picture that ISN'T beef?
Yeah, so for those who dun know me personally, I like me some world building! To me the characters I RP and have drawn are more than just figures to be ogled over. I like having CHARACTER and LORE and STORY! A mega muscular studmuffin is all the more interesting if there's more to them than ~just~ being big.
This here is Lucas's spear, one of the only things his father left with him after his passing in the Strider Wars. It's a fairly standard spear, though one made out of less than standard materials. The shaft itself is made from durnwood, a species of tree native to Luc's neck of the woods, notable for being quite sturdy and especially for its magical properties. The finest of mages will often have staves and wands made of durnwood because of how excellent they are for channeling magic through. The metal used in its bindings and in the spear head itself is mythril, which in Luc's world is a lightweight and durable metal, not the greatest for holding an edge, but much like durnwood its magical properties make it highly sought after by spellswords and combat mages alike.
Both of these materials being used in the construction of the spear means that not only is it good for stabbing a prick, it's also incredibly easy and shockingly effective to imbue or channel magic into or through the spear. Magic that is channeled into the spear is able to be done so more potently since durnwood and mythril are both less resistant to magic energies than oak and steel.
The sapphire at the bottom is enchanted, allowing one to shrink and collapse the weapon into a highly portable form factor as desired. With a quick jolt of magic Lucas can shrink the 8 foot long spear down into a rod about a foot in length, with all the pointy bits magically concealed away for safety.
Once again, :iconSilverSketch friggen NAILED the design here! Y'all should throw him money for art <3
