The swamp's wildlife caused almost as much injury to the tau as the orks themselves. One such creature was one that laid in the mud beneath the water, and would easily pierce the foot of any who stepped near them. The shaper Ogek seeked out these creatures and adapted to use their scissor like mouths, webbed hands, and long tails to become similar predators against the orks.
