Been thinking about Crash Bandicoot again lately so I decided to give my self insert a little makeover~ her old design was a bit… bland. and the colors clashed. not sure how those two things happen at the same time kdsjfhg. Actually, now that I think about it, I don't think I ever posted her old design here. Oh well, just take my word that it was not very good XD

Synes works for Cortex, so I thought she should look a bit more…sleek? I gave her a turtleneck instead of her old collared shirt, and shiny black pants (leggings? idk kdjfhg). Since she's a surgeon operating (mostly) on Cortex's mutant subjects, I gave her thicker gloves that go up to the elbow for those bigger, messier projects, as well as some magnifying goggles for the more delicate procedures~

Cortex, of course, prefers the subjects to be conscious and unmedicated during her operations, but all the writhing and screaming makes it hard to do her job well (and could seriously damage the subject in the process). So whenever Cortex isn't looking too closely, she puts them under anesthesia, so she can carry on with the procedure in peace. She carries several bottles of different anesthetics on her person, some of which she threw together herself. There are whispers that she does it because she secretly dislikes seeing these creatures in pain, but if she really is that much of a softie, nobody knows for sure yet - especially not Cortex.

She was originally a doctor, but I decided to change her to being a nurse. I imagine Synes isn't willing to go through the extensive process of earning a doctorate, so she figures if she's gonna be performing less-than-professional operations in a shady place like Cortex's anyway, she doesn't really need the certification... and luckily, her eerie passion for exploring the inner workings of living beings is more than enough motivation for Cortex to hire her. Plus, shortening her name to N. S. Thesia adds an additional fitting pun (anesthesia) to the already existing S. Thesia (esthesia) and Synes Thesia (synesthesia).
