My Russian Husky character, Douglas "Maverick" Kennedy, a independent film maker like my fursona; his "business partner".
This would be his "newest" camera, a Hitachi FP 10, a single tube color camera capable of about 410 lines of resolution. It is a real life camera, released in 1981 by Hitachi of Japan for broadcasting applications.
Mav's camera has a single tri-electrode Saticon tube instead of the more traditional three tube layout, simplifying the design, yet still having accurate color reproduction and resolution.
The blatant Sony advertising aside on the strap =P as with all cameras made before the all-in-one units were built in the very late 1980's, all video cameras were "two piece units" hooked up to either a VHS, or Betamax VTR, Mav connected to a Beta VTR to maintain compatibility with Rob's footage that is shot on Betacam SP.
His other camera is a JVC Ky210 3 tube Saticon unit that uses the same Betamax VTR or a seperate U-Matic VTR.
