Interesting piece. Is he supposed to be a technomancer? Or is he from Star Trek, and that's a Di-Lythium Crystal from the engines? Or is he from... I dunno, there's a lot of things that this reminds me of. The GENERAL topic of "white with gold trim" and "crystals ooh shiny" tends to go with a lot of categories of upper and omnicient power. Or, like... advanced civilizations. Which, I guess I could draw from the title of the piece.

I'm not really sure what you're going for in this piece, though, mate. The background is flat, and he's just kind'a standing there looking bored. If HE'S bored then whut should us viewers think? The shading is very nice, on the other hand. I believe, based on your shadowing and such, that he takes up 3-D space. That's important.

Its good... practice, I suppose. But this is very weak as a piece of art. We've got a standing figure who looks bored, on a flat background with a LOT of free space. Perhaps it would be stronger if he had a different facial expression, or if there was less flat space all around him.
