Tol and Smol boys!

Not canon to Nannersverse, but in the SPinoff game "Pumped and Primed" the gang enters a minigame tournament in the virtual world, and Specter shows up to be a trouble maker. There's this third act villain "The Mysterious man" who takes over the virtual world and uses this disk thing to turn Specter (and Jake) into Dark Specter (and Dark Jake) and commands him in a boss fight (He gets better tho).
I just wanted to draw something a little Angsty so "What if entering the virtual world infect Specter with a Virus and turned him into Dark Specter???" cuz I thought it would be fun!

Just thinking of how human Specter would definitely ask ape Spike "why are you so small?"

I think Ape Spike would want to know the same thing, like "Wait.... you're taller than me as a human, and I'm extra small as an ape... why is Me being the human you YOU the ape the only scenario where I'm taller than you?!?!?"

or the alternate: "Specter the better question is why were YOU an APE while I'm for some reason a MONKEY?"

Poor Specter, just surrounded by adorable little monkeys while also burdened by his own inherent cuteness.
So did Specter swap species with Spike, or is this an AU where Specter is an extremely ambitious human with a beleaguered pet monkey who has to clean up his messes?

Oh gosh, for once Specter is not pretending that he is afflicted with an illness that needs hot make-outs to cure, he genuinely looks like he has a new texture to his fur? That's going to need like a LOT of making out to fix.

Poor baby is too cute and doesn't fit in anywhere until he decides world domination is the only option lol!

I'm not sure, User: Local_Butters above suggested the concept, I think they're going for "They swapped Species" but I also I think "Alternate universe shenanigans" could be fun too! I just wanted to draw them species swapped to see how they looked, though Spike just ended up looking like a baby version of Loo the Lotteryman https://www.furaffinity.net/view/24000492/

I think Kei turned out the best of the Portraits! I was worried he would end up looking like Spike because his hair is Similar to how I draw Spike's these days, but he turned out pleasantly unique in spite of the similarities!

I wanted to draw Dark!Specter from Ape Escape Pumped and Primed. I don't think there's any room for him in Nannersverse but he'd make a fun "Third Specter" personality play with, having a more darker personality, but with Genius!Specter's mind and Circus!Specter's lack of inhibitions! Also fun to ink his black crackly fur! A lot of making out in deed!

But the smile on his face says "But not right away. Let's explore this a bit, first."

That's what happens when you start going coo coo for coco puffs, or coo coo for crack, or whatever happenned to Specter there.
