I saw the bear in SOOT's familiar style, I recognized the font from your other books, and I exclaimed right out loud:

In the meantime, he's using good ol' pen-and-paper.
The day after I shipped this off to the printer, it occurred to me that the yellow was an excellent match to the paper of a yellow legal pad. All we need are thin blue horizontal lines. Soot offered to add them, but it was too late.
