So this is it, my return to writing after nearly 2 years. There are things I could say here, but I'll let the story do the talking.

Since this is a fan fiction story, there are a few things I need to point out. First of all, this is only the introduction. If you're not familiar with the Dreamworks movie "How to train your dragon" this may not make a whole lot of sense. I didn't want to have to outline the entire movie in order to get readers up to speed on the characters and environment. Instead, the information about this world and those living in it will come slowly, as the chapters progress.

And this is only the first chapter. I don't know how long it will run, but I have a lot of material loosely organized into an overall story arc. As each chapter gets posted, you'll learn more about Berk and its inhabitants whether or not you've seen the movie. If you have questions about something in this chapter, be patient. They will be answered in coming chapters.

Here's hoping it was worth the wait.
