Melee "May" Bishop: Self-proclaimed squire, best friend of Sharon Medley, former copyist and scribe, fairly knowledgeable in cooking, camping, basic weapon and armor maintenance, first aid, and can even breathe fire! He is also a terrible map-reader and an even worse navigator, which Sharon is slowly beginning to realize and is very annoyed about.

The first animated piece I ever commissioned! Though admittedly not the first such work I've posted on this site (that honor goes to this pic), I had a chance to commission this lovely artist early last year and was very intrigued at the prospect of getting something animated. My initial pitch was merely that Melee be reading the map in confusion while an angry Sharon shivers from the cold as the two began wandering into the mountains - something meant to pose as a follow-up to this pen sketch I did back in 2018. The artist, however, suggested that more could be going on with the pic (shown in parts 2 and 3) and I decided to go along with her idea since I had the money and wanted to treat myself. In hindsight, that was the right decision to make and I do think it helps better establish why having Melee lead the way on your journey, er... may not be the best idea.

FurAffinity does not have an option to upload MP4 files, sadly, but I still really wanted to share this animated piece here for you all, so I did my best to find a way. That way turning out to be converting the animation to several .gif files that fall within the site's file size limits. The end result was... this. Admittedly, not the way it was meant to be viewed and an astute viewer will notice it doesn't loop properly, but it's still accessible to FA users who don't want to follow me on Twitter and anyone who clicks the above link to the full version will likely realize that this animation was not meant to be a clean loop due to the artistic decisions made with this animation. Despite that, I do hope you all still like it!
