Okay, so. Where I live just so happens to be located right next to a primary school. I know what you're thinking, 'loads of kids nearby and crazy mums in 4X4's'. That is all true! ;D
Anyway, I was out and about for the first time in fursuit around my neighbour. I was a little scared and just to put the icing on top of my cake, school had just been let out. I know my suit, because its realistic, can be scary to some kids, so I had to be careful. A group of mothers gathered near the end of one of the footpaths and close by were their children. Alot of them. I strolled down towards the mothers, and all the kids? Well, probably about 99% of them screamed and ran.
Now, if you know me, you know Im not a fan of children, but it was my first time suiting outside near my home, so when they all ran away screaming and wouldnt come near me, I felt like...Like I couldnt be out in that suit without scaring kids and such. Not very entertaining for them. So, keeping in 'character', I did the usual fursuiter thing, cover my eyes, shake my head, trying to look sad. The children didnt sympathise.
Across the street from where I stood is a family whom kids I actually babysit for quite often. And this special little guy in the picture with me was about to step into his house when he saw me. A huge grin spread across his face and he ran towards me as fast as he could and leapt into my arms. He hugged me tightly and wouldnt let go, laughing as I spun around. The other kids seeing this, then obviously realised that I wasnt going to eat them or claw their eyes out, but I was just a big fluffy lion...thing!
So a good hour or so, I messed around outside with them, entertaining both the kids and embaressing the mothers. I thank this little guy in the picture for that amazing experience!
