This was an early (November 2005) foray into lineless art. You can probably tell its age, if only because it's a relatively small image compared to my later work. What's this technique involve? Tons and tons of dodge/burn, sprinkled with a hearty dose of surface blur. At this point, I think I was actually doing the inking, and then carefully covering it up afterward.
