This is an amazing design how have I yet to see this despite my frequent avali searches? I mean it's tagged avali... And I've searched through years of avali art. Searches are weird though.

Like I said I've been a huge fan of avali in general ever since I heard of them. I don't play any of the games they come from and I'm not really a fan of sci-fi stuff in general but as a creature design they're amazing and adorable! One of these days I plan to get my own avali OC designed and commission someone to do it though my finances are pretty limited most of the time so it'll probably be a while. As someone who plays a lot of TTRPGs (like D&D) I'm constantly designing new characters and it's always sad when I come up with a rather unique design that I have a lot of fun with but can't get art of. I once did look around to try to commission an artist whose style I liked for an avali but none of the artists I liked were open for it and after some time I gave up searching (and then as usual something blew up in my face and cost me a lot of money but eh). Glad you enjoyed the avali design though, and if you're curious about them as a species at all let me know I can link you to some of the informational resources on them from the fandom. Though the original species creator has mostly stopped contributing to the project last I heard the fandom related to them still expands on them bit by bit.
