Paper Mario for the Nintendo 64 is one heck of a game, and it's what inspired THIS! A painting of the ever-so-annoying, but comical JR. TROOPA! Sporting his Magic Rod from the Final two times you fight this guy throughout the game! I'll be honest, I kinda like his attitude. He never quits, and I like a guy who has the guts to challenge someone who's CLEARLY superior to him!
For those of you who don't know who he is, Jr. Troopa is apparently a koopa-like life form who after being defeated by the Jumpman, Mario, swore he would get revenge, but try as he might, he was never able to overpower the Plumber, coming back each time stronger, and stronger, eventually gaining newer abilities, such as hiding in his egg for extra defense, or growing wings to fly, or even mounting a spike on his head to prevent jump damage, and yes, even using a magic rod for basic magikoopa-based attacks, Lightning, or Healing magic, he appeared as one of the main mini-bosses you fight a total of SIX TIMES in Paper Mario for the Nintendo 64.
However, after the last battle in Bowser's Castle, he said, and I quote: "Darn it! Darn it! Darn it! This isn't over Mario! I swear I'm gonna beat you so bad next time!" before running off, and he hasn't been seen as an enemy since, though he made a Cameo appearance in The Thousand-Year Door in the E-Mail from Zip Toad after Chapter 6, but to this date, he has never been seen since.
...It's honestly kinda sad when you think about it. Also I totally missed some of the designing on this guy's character. oh well, I'm not perfect!
