the original idea was to have him as one of Sonic's fans that wanted to get as fast as him.
and turbo was going to try to run through all the zones in 12 hours.
and the remaining 12 to go back home, until he reached sonic.

But now the idea is he's a freelancer, that just happens to be a fan of Sonic.
