Continuation of ThisFahari did not let Zula aproach any closer. Instead, she asked her daughter to be quiet, so she could inspect what was behind the bushes.
The queen went quietly into them, where she head a raspy, weak cry. By the sound of it, that couldn't be anything but a cub. A cub, in their lands? Dit it mean there were also adults tresspasing?
But there was something odd. That poor cub sounded really sick. She had to know the truth! She peeked her head and let out a loud gasp when she saw the scene.
A lioness the age of her daughters laid completely still under the tree, barely breathing. And a cub, the owner of that hoarse voice, was desperately trying to get her up by touching her face with his paws.
When he heard the gasp, he quickly turn around and let out a loud snarl, trying to intimidate Fahari. But the queen couldn't be but horrified by the look of both strangers, so young, yet their bodies were only skin and bones!
They needed help as soon as possible.
"Be not afraid" she said, with a calming voice more proper of a mother than of a queen. "I'm not here to harm you. I've come to help you, but I need your trust". And then lifted her head to see her daughter steps behind. "Go get Jana. Now"
