Here we have Sol having a little chat with his raven Merryweather (Mary) as we can see she's trying to convince the grumpy wolf to smile more and as much as Sol doesn't want to admit it her methods do seem to be working !

Merryweather is a very nurturing soul, but she can also be pretty strict. She is one of the few creatures who isn't afraid to stand up and talk back to Sol, even though he could totally eat her if he wanted to. She knows he puts on an aggressive act to assert dominance and seem intimidating so she tries to remind him that he can still be a leader but can also have fun. As a whole she acts a bit like a motherly figure to the trio, and considering they didn't have their own mother for very long it's probably for the best.
