Overview:
Kataleya, sometimes referred to as simply Kat, is a peace-loving vixen that has an affinity with animals. Thus, she works as the animal caretaker of the Reynart farm. Sure, she only takes care of a few chickens, but she finds it more fulfilling than anyhing she's ever done before.
Backstory:
Kataleya is actually Andrew's long lost sister. They are not related by blood in any way; rather, by adoption. Both were adopted by the same family, though Andrew was promptly abandoned due to looking too much like a filthy raccoon (explaining his disdain towards being called one) and subsequently taken in by Kayomi, and raised by the kitsunes. Kataleya and Andrew only got reunited very recently after she saw goods exported from a farm baring her family name, and decided to investigate, selling everything she owned to get to Kjarisk. Her luxurious life prior to that wasn't nearly as good as one would think, being treated like a glorified piece of expensive furniture, barely receiving any kind of affection or way to entertain herself from her owners.
Right before the disappearance of humanity, she followed the development of the Central War in Albjörn from afar, listening to the radio, her only means of entertainment. She very quickly became anti war, longing for the day when the war would end and she could maybe visit the snowy landscape on a business trip with her owners... But that dream was cut short very quickly when humanity collapsed. Having no real skill and being previously owned by very influential people, the other hybrids resented her, and she went from living in a luxurious mansion to cardboard boxes and under bridges practically overnight. All possessions back at her owner's place were quickly looted away, and she had to scrape by anything she could to afford food. As stated before, all of that changed the moment she found out about goods from the Reynart farm... A place bearing her own last name.
Imagine the reunion when she met Andrew for the first time in over twenty years. While he had all but suppressed her memory after going through the trauma of abandonment, she remembered him all too well... Both of them had a different life up to the point, and yet, they had no problem getting along almost immediately. The problem of finding a job for Kataleya remained, but she found her calling after she, Sereina and Wayrra won a number of chickens at a summer fair. She felt comfortable around the animals, and they around her - thus, she became the animal caretaker. She'll tell you that cleaning up the coop and picking up eggs everyday is the last thing she'd ever expected to do, but she regrets nothing. Her leap into the unknown based on nothing more than a last name coincidence paid off.
Orientation:
Very surprisingly, Kataleya is a predator. Or rather, a pred-oriented switch. While she doesn't actively seek out preys as much as other predators like Abby would, she uses her natural talents to defend others by breaking up fights, or for some quality bonding (or more personal) time with her friends. Her scantily clad clothes help with having a fully belly, and also make her a fine prey for predators that don't feel undressing their prey, as well.
