This is the mechanical cat from my Spontoon Islands story "Felis Ex Machina." Roy took Fritz Lang and the "maschinenmensch" from the classic silent "Metropolis" and went a good deal further. Roy was going for a 19th century engraving feel. I believe he achieved it, with room to spare. There are a few little jokes scattered about -- I'm not sure what the Chinese characters say. (There is a subtle tribute to Phil Foglio, which parallels the story.)
