Biography: Within the fictitious world that was created by Devin for his personal comic, “Splash Dragon”; Professor Ink was once a calm scientist named Kaio, who was part of a marine biology team in Maryland. The facility he and the others worked together in was shut down after being exposed for performing unethical experiments on marine animals. After the facility was shut down, Kaio and the rest of his team continued their research in a secret laboratory away from open society, but the funding for the experiments have dropped dramatically since the exposure. Kaio knew that they were in desperate need of survival and wanted another shift in change; he had an idea to “improve” themselves. He ordered his team to perform a biomechanical surgery on his spine and back to place in a set of mechanical tentacles. After hours went through, Kaio awakened in a medical bed and his group helped him through physical therapy to train his strength and control of the metallic tentacles that are now implanted into his back. Years have passed and he develops a scheme to enslave humanity by kidnapping animals and turning them into weaponized minions in order to take control. However, he and the Oceanic Goons were often defeated by a group of superhero animals known as Team Combat. Team Combat was mainly successful in defeating them, until Professor Ink had enough and he developed a new plan to eradicate the team. After kidnapping and brainwashing Acer, one of the members of Team Combat, to work for the Oceanic Goons to help take down the superhero group. This leads to the intense fall of Team Combat, each member dying from severe injuries and their bodies taken to the hidden headquarters of the Oceanic Goons. Kaio would later use the bodies to create a hybrid clone named Amalgamate after he and his team were defeated by Maryland’s new superhero, Splash Dragon.
