The Slim Beam Render (SBR) is essentially a version 2 of the original beam render but with a more slender blade that curves into a tip rather than a blunt edged tipless edge.
The SBR like its predecessor can lengthen and shorten to any given length within reason, can be 'summoned' via hammer space, and can 'fire' a cresent shaped wave of energy. The SBR can remain active for up to 10 minutes before it automatically shuts itself off to conserve power. When the SBR is forced into continued use when the power is dangerously low and hasn't been allowed to recharge the blades color changes to a sickly venom green color and begins to make a loud crackling noise. At this point the SBR is begining to overheat and it is theorized that it may self destruct with just enough force to remove the users arm and cause 3rd degree burns to whatever skin that is close enough to it.
And i got nothing else...
Modeled it a few days back while listening to 'I will not bow' by Breaking Benjamin. So i had for some reason final fantasy-esque mid-air fight scene's rolling through my head while modeling it.
Modeled in Google Sketchup 7.
Took about an hour and a half to convert a Slim Render into a Slim Beam Render and 30 minutes to then get the blade just how i wanted it and add in a few other details.
