Sketch - Big Ol’ Yawn(-ing Belly)
Some say that unicorns are meant to be thin, fit, and proper. Yorie the Yawning, however flies in the face of all these assumptions. While most unicorns have great difficulty with packing on the pounds, Yorie has simply ballooned since settling down in the enchanted Northern Pinelands. While his title once referenced his slothful, sleepy nature, it now has a double meaning to describe his ever-expanding bulk! The forest and it’s Fae denizens have been kind, offering an endless bounty, one nearly impossible to refuse.
Caramel-core Apples in the morning, Butterfruit for breakfast, Bacon-Bark for second breakfast, Plumping-Plums as a snack, Whale-Watermelons for lunch, and an all-out Fae feast every evening! And who could forget the Chocolate-Chip-Nuts the pixies drop in his mouth as he snores through the night? It seems like all he does now is sleep, and eat, and eat some more! There’s no telling just how much bigger he’ll be next time he decides to go for one of his rare forest waddles… but I think it’s safe to say, his title will be even more deserved!

This was an awfully fun piece also from December - seems like I got an awful lot of sketches done that month, haha! Also, I don’t think I mentioned this earlier, but I wanted to give a huge thank you to my dear friend
Nickel-Cat_Engine for suggesting which sketches I should post! I share an awful lot of them with him, and since I was having a bit of trouble choosing, he was a great boon. Hope you all enjoy this beer-bellied unicorn!
