Anikka's First Swim in the Ocean
Anikka is a city shark. She's lived there all her life, and while she is quite content with living in the bright neon concrete jungle, maybe even checking out a few rural towns from time to time, she's never really gone to a beach before, much less one so distant from society that there's hardly Internet or the loud blaring cries of vehicles. If anything, the loudest sound that dominates her ears is the soothing crash of waves cresting on the beach edge, a surprisingly relaxing feeling that was quite the culture shock for the punk shark.
But what really threw her in a loop was just how beautiful underwater life is like. Deep beneath the ocean's surface lay hundreds of thousands of beautiful and colorful fish, intricate and diverse coral that she had never seen before. She was mesmerized by the diversity of life that she had only ever seen in documentaries on TV, and so to see them up close, to actually touch them and watch them go about with a pure lens, well, it was quite amazing an experience for her.
Anikka would end up spending the most amount of her vacation time with her friends underwater, swimming around the beach and being the first to accompany Kyn on another snorkeling trip the day after. On the times she was above the water's surface she'd find herself enjoying the quiet of beach, as well as partaking in a variety of fun activities provided by the beach resort they were staying at. One such activity that brought her the most joy was watching the jackfish eat during their daily feeding time, a tourist staple of the resort they were at.
All in all, this vacation would be quite the relaxing and memorable trip for the girls, but for Anikka in particular, swimming among her fellow fish and gazing above the many beautiful coral that these fish call their home, this would be an experience she'd never forget. Her first swim in the great ocean blue.

Once again, this is based on my last holiday vacation with my family where we went snorkeling for a bit. I saw so many beautiful fish, incredible coral and even a strange jellyfish that I thought was plastic floating in the sea. It was incredible, and why I'm so thankful for the opportunity to return to Palawan again. Though this is the last pic I sketched while there, I do have more ideas to continue drawing of my gals' vacation, seeing as this is becoming a little mini-series at this point. I'll keep posting as per usual, so do expect more fun pics to come~ <3
